(the "Company") entered into a three-year Enterprise Service and Advertising Agreement (the "Agreement") with ART19 LLC ("ART19"), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. to move the existing network of PodcastOne programming to the ART19 hosting platform. The Agreement is expected to drive additional monetization opportunities across the Company's vast library of popular podcasts.

Bitcoin To $300,000 In 2025, Asian Asset Management Firm Says

BlackRock Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BLK#NYSE">BLK</a>) discussed the role of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in its growth strategy during its <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/01/42997625/blackrock-beats-q4-estimates-fueled-by-record-inflows-116-trillion-aum-milestone">fourth-quarter earnings commentary</a>. Its Q4 results showed significant achievements and robust momentum across its ETF business. The asset management giant reported $390 billion in ETF net inflows in 2024, representing 11% organic asset growth and 7% organic base fee growth.
Crunching The Inflow Numbers
The fourth quarter alone saw $143 billion in ETF inflows, driven by seasonal portfolio reallocations and investor re-risking as U.S. equity indices and spot Bitcoin prices hit record highs. iShares products helped clients diversify and invest in key investment themes.
ETFs are a core driver of BlackRock&#8217;s growth strategy. &#8220;Since our acquisition of iShares, Blackrock has led in expanding the market for ETFs by making them more accessible and by delivering new asset classes like bonds or crypto and investment strategies like Active. Approximately a quarter of our $390 billion of ETF net inflows were into products launched in the last five years,&#8221; said BlackRock CEO Larry Fink.
Notably, its Bitcoin ETP emerged as the largest ETF launch in history, amassing over $50 billion in assets under management (AUM) within a year. Active ETFs also had a great year, recording $22 billion in net inflows in 2024.
European Expansion
In Europe, BlackRock scaled its ETF platform considerably, with $90 billion in net inflows in the year, driving the European platform's AUM closer to $1 trillion. The region has seen double-digit organic growth for two straight years, thanks to the rise of individual investors using online platforms and ETF savings plans. Moreover, increasing financial education among first-time investors also enabled them to enter the markets.
A large part of BlackRock's growth story constitutes acquisitions, including GIP, Preqin, and HPS, which continues to complement the firm's long-term vision of integrated public and private markets and a larger suit of technology offerings. According to Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas, the iShares Core S&amp;P 500 ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IVV#NYSE">IVV</a>) raked in the second largest amount of inflows in 2024, at $86.8 billion.

Foresight Delivers First Batch Of Commercial Mass Production Systems To SUNWAY-AI In China

Hino Motors, a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TM#NYSE">TM</a>), has reached a settlement with the U.S. Justice Department and other federal agencies<a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/hino-motors-toyota-subsidiary-agrees-plead-guilty-and-pay-over-16b-resolve-emissions-fraud"> regarding emissions testing fraud</a>. 
The company has agreed to pay over $1.6 billion to resolve allegations of fraudulent engine emissions testing and illegal engine imports. 
The agreement addresses violations that allowed the company to improperly import over 110,000 diesel engines into the U.S. between 2010 and 2022. 
The settlement includes both criminal and civil resolutions, with Hino Motors pleading guilty to criminal conspiracy charges.
The arrangement, which is still subject to approval by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, also involves Hino's agreement to pay penalties and implement a series of corrective measures. 
According to the Justice Department, the company falsified engine certification data to bypass regulatory requirements, resulting in harmful air pollution. 
The agencies involved include Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), FBI, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Department of Transportation's Office of Inspector General (DOT-OIG), National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and State of California.
The settlement includes a $521.76 million criminal fine, along with a $525 million civil penalty for Hino. In addition, the company must contribute $155 million to a mitigation program aimed at addressing the excess emissions resulting from the violations.
This initiative will replace older, less efficient marine and locomotive engines across 49 states, reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by over 41,000 tons. 
These efforts are expected to have the same impact as removing 110,000 heavy-duty trucks from U.S. highways.
Hino's actions between 2010 and 2019, including manipulating emissions data, caused significant environmental harm.
Additionally, a recall program will ensure that non-compliant engines from 2017-2019 meet regulatory standards.
Price Action: TM shares are trading lower by 1.42% at $182.22 in premarket at last check Thursday.

NaaS Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NAAS#NASDAQ">NAAS</a>) ("NaaS" or the "Company"), the first U.S.-listed EV charging service company in&nbsp;China, today announced its charging network has successfully expanded to 360 cities in China as of year-end 2024. This represents over 50% city coverage compared to a total city count of 694 in accordance with National Bureau of Statistics of China&nbsp;(NBS) for year 2023. Among 360 cities NAAS covered, approximately 170 of them increased charging volume through NaaS platform by more than 50% in 2024 compared to 2023. NAAS achieved this new benchmark through robust growth in both supply-side infrastructure and demand-side partnerships:

<li>On the supply side, as of September 30, 2024, NaaS had connected nearly 1.15 million chargers to its charging network, accounting for approximately 35%[1] of China's total public charging infrastructure. This critical momentum is a result of NaaS' business strategy focus on core charging services as announced last year and its long-term mission in advancing the sustainable energy transition.</li>
<li>On the demand side, NaaS has expanded its user base through strategic collaborations with major automotive OEM brands. Partnerships with BYD's sub-brands (Dynasty, Ocean, and Fang Cheng Bao), as well as leading players such as NETA, IM Motors, Hongqi, and FAW-Volkswagen, have ensured that electric vehicle (EV) drivers can easily, quickly and reliably access chargers anywhere and at any time.</li>
