The Tucumã project ramp-up and lower average unit costs could enable the company to drive "the strongest production and EBITDA growth in our coverage, according to Goldman Sachs.
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/63172fdcdaaf0c0001283ce1/marcio-farid">Analyst Marcio Farid</a> initiated coverage of with a Buy rating and price target of $19.
The Vancouver-based company could generate production and EBITDA growth of 97% and 140% in 2025 and of 112% and 190% in 2026, respectively, Farid said in the initiation note.

PPG Industries Q2 Earnings Top Estimates, Sales Lag

Endeavour Silver Corporation (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/exk#NYSE">EXK</a>) produced 2.2 million silver equivalent ounces in the second quarter of 2024, a 5% decline from the year-ago quarter, primarily due to reduced silver production at both of its mines, which offset higher gold output. The company also expects to commission the Terronera mine in the fourth quarter of 2024 and commence production in 2025.
<h3>Silver Production Declines on Lower Grades, Gold Up</h3>
Consolidated silver production fell 12% year over year to 1.31 million ounces. This was due to a 12% reduction in silver output at the Guanacev&iacute; mine and a 17% decrease at Bola&ntilde;itos, both due to lower grades.&nbsp;
Endeavour Silver, however, witnessed a 7% year-over-year improvement in gold production at 10,549 ounces. The growth was driven by higher gold grades mined at both Guanacev&iacute; and Bola&ntilde;itos, as well as higher gold content in third-party feed processed at Guanacev&iacute;. Gold output at the Guanacev&iacute; mine rose 9% year over year to 4,243 ounces, while the Bola&ntilde;itos mine output grew 6% to 6,306 ounces.&nbsp;
Guanacev&iacute;&#39;s silver production was 1.196 million ounces (down 12% year over year), which met the company&#39;s expectations. Gold production at 4,243 ounces (up 9%) was higher than expected due to increased gold grades mined and higher content in the third-party feed.
Local third-party feed contributed 15% to Guanacev&iacute;&#39;s quarterly throughput. At current prices, management expects local third-party feed to be higher than 10% of throughput going forward. The Guanacev&iacute; operations are realizing the benefits of the significant plant improvements and modifications made in 2023.
At Bolanitos, gold production increased 6% to 6,306 ounces, while silver production plunged 17% due to lower grades. Silver production was slightly below expectations due to decreased silver grades and lower silver recovery, while throughput remained steady. Milled grades are expected to show similar variations in the second half of the year.
<h3>2024 Production Guidance Maintained</h3>
So far in 2024, EXK has produced 2.2 million silver equivalent ounces and believes it is on track to attain its production target range of 8.1-8.8 million silver equivalent ounces in 2024.
<h3>Improved Metal Prices to Reflect on Q2 Results</h3>
For the second quarter, Endeavour Silver reported a 6% year-over-year decline in silver sales at 1.22 million ounces, while gold sales were flat at 9,887 ounces. At the quarter&#39;s end, the company held 262,160 ounces of silver and 939 ounces of gold in bullion inventory. EXK also held 5,860 ounces of silver and 322 ounces of gold in the concentrate inventory.
The lower sales figures will likely be offset by the elevated gold and silver prices observed through the second quarter and will reflect on Endeavour Silver&#39;s upcoming second-quarter 2024 results. We expect other industry players such as Hecla Mining (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/hl#NYSE">HL</a>) and Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/fsm#NYSE">FSM</a>), among others, to also benefit from this trend.
<h3>Peer Performances</h3>
Fortuna Silver Mines recently announced that it produced 116,570 gold equivalent ounces in the second quarter, which marked a 25% increase from the year-ago quarter. This includes a gold production of 92,716 ounces and a silver production of 990,574 ounces. While gold output marked a 44% year-over-year increase, silver was down 22%.
FSM maintains its gold equivalent production guidance for 2024 to be between 457,000 ounces and 497,000 ounces. Gold production guidance is pegged at 343,000-385,000 ounces while silver production is pegged at 4-4.7 million ounces.
Hecla Mining reported 4.5 million ounces of silver production in the second quarter. This marked a 16% improvement year over year, reflecting solid performance at Keno Hill. HL&#39;s gold production was up 6% at 37,324 ounces from the year-ago quarter as improved results at Casa Berardi offset lower output at Greens Creek.&nbsp;
Hecla Mining has produced 7.9 million ounces of silver in the first half of 2024 and believes it is on track to produce 17 million ounces of silver in 2024.

The deal was set at 230 million euros ($249 million). Suzano and B&amp;C will form a long-term syndicate to hold a 52.25% stake in the Vienna-based cellulosic fibers supplier company. B&amp;C will hold the majority of the stake (37.25%) and remain the controlling member of the new syndicate. 
Under the deal, Suzano can acquire a further 15% stake in Lenzing from B&amp;C until 2028. 
Lenzing is a global supplier of premium cellulosic fibers for the textile and non-woven industry. This deal will further strengthen Lenzing&#39;s position as a global market leader for sustainable cellulosic fibers. SUZ aims to boost Lenzing&#39;s position with its established technology, product range and technical knowledge. 
SUZ will gain from Lenzing&#39;s deep-rooted understanding of pulp production and cost excellence. The partnership will help Suzano&nbsp; to strengthen its competitive position and global presence. 
The transaction marks the continuation of Suzano&#39;s strategy to focus on investments, which will enlarge its addressable market in scalable and competitive business models. The investment also moves the company closer to end consumers. 
Suzano reported annual net revenues of more than $7.6 billion in 2023. In the first quarter of 2024, the company reported net sales of $1.9 billion, down from the $2.2 billion reported in the prior-year quarter. The bottom line fell 95.8% year over year to 3 cents in the first quarter. The downside was due to seasonal effects on sales in the sector, and the recovery trend of international pulp prices and stable production costs.

Comstock Inc. (AMEX:LODE) announced revisions to its agreements with RenFuel K2B AB regarding the development of RenFuel&#39;s previously planned biorefinery project at a pulp and paper mill in Sweden. The changes also aim to broaden the scope of Comstock&#39;s partnership with RenFuel in the European markets. This move will significantly expand the markets of their joint technologies. 
The amendments enable the liquidation of RenFuel&#39;s majority-owned subsidiary, RenFuel K2B Lignolproduktion AB. RenFuel formed the subsidiary to run its previously planned Swedish biorefinery as part of a joint venture with Preem. Comstock declined its option to step into the JV. 
The expanded partnership better positions both parties for the building and management of a larger-scale commercial facility based on the joint Comstock-RenFuel technologies in Europe, following the completion of Comstock&#39;s first planned facilities in the Americas. 
Comstock has already used RenFuel&#39;s patented catalytic esterification technology to refine its proprietary Bioleum derivatives into Hydrodeoxygenated Bioleum Oil capable of producing both SAF and Renewable Diesel Fuel. LODE has an exclusive license to RenFuel&#39;s refining technologies across North, Central and South America. 
Comstock aims to prioritize a number of opportunities for commercial facility construction in the Americas based on joint applications of Comstock and RenFuel technologies. This includes an initial 50,000 TPY facility and at least one 1,000,000 TPY facility primarily designed to convert qualified biomass feedstocks into Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Renewable Diesel. This is consistent with all of LODE&#39;s current negotiations with strategic and capital partners. 
The company reported a quarterly loss of 6 cents per share in the first quarter of 2024, wider than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of 4 cents. The bottom line was flat year over year. Comstock posted revenues of $0.43 million for the quarter ended March 2024.&nbsp;

Friday is shaping up to be one of the strongest days for metal commodities in recent years. Gold climbed over 1.7% toward a record-high close above $2,400 per ounce, silver surged more than 6% to its highest level since February 2013, and copper hit <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/mining">an all-time high.</a>
What Happened: In a week marked by diminishing inflation fears, the case for Federal Reserve rate cuts strengthened. Additionally, news of a broad-based Chinese stimulus to support the struggling real estate sector sent metal commodities skyrocketing. Beijing announced measures such as reducing down payments for homebuyers and a state-financed package to convert unsold<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/asia/24/05/38895805/china-goes-all-in-as-beijing-vows-to-buy-unsold-properties-chinese-stocks-rally-copper-hits-all-time"> properties into social housing.</a>
Copper, extremely sensitive to China&#8217;s economic health as the country is the top purchaser of the red metal, rallied 4% to above $5 a pound. This surge marked a fresh weekly all-time high and its strongest day since November 2022.
Precious metals like silver and gold positively reacted to both interest-rate and Chinese-related developments. Silver spiked above $30, breaking out of a triple-top resistance pattern.

Jeff Currie, former Goldman Sachs commodities strategist and now chief strategy officer of energy pathways at Carlyle Group, stated in a Bloomberg <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-05-17/jeff-currie-says-copper-is-the-best-trade-he-s-seen-in-his-career?sref=TBDibEcD">interview </a>that the red mental still has more room to run, emphasizing copper&#8217;s importance in powering electric vehicles, updated grids and AI data centers.
